Assistant Professor of Instruction in Aerospace and Mechanical EngineeringThe Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME) at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track, nine-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction. The final rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate aerospace engineering courses, with emphasis on Aerospace Structures, Aircraft Design, Aerodynamics, and Control. Additional responsibilities include supervising laboratories, mentoring students in capstone design projects, and maintaining active engagement with industry partners.Job Requirements:• A Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field is preferred; candidates with a Master's degree and significant industry experience will also be considered.• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to student success and ABET learning outcomes.• Evidence of relevant industrial experience related to Aerospace, particularly for candidates with a Master's degree.Additional Information:In keeping with its access, excellence, and impact mission, The University of Texas at El Paso is committed to an open, diverse, and inclusive learning and working environment that honors the talents, respects the differences, and nurtures the growth and development of all.
