Job Summary
The Workforce Development Coordinator reports to the Director of Workforce Development and has responsibility to manage day-to-day operations at the Center for Workforce Development (WFD) ensuring high quality internal and external customer service. The Workforce Development Coordinator will manage and develop communication protocols, manage internal and external inquiries and responses related to programs offered through the Center for Workforce Development. The Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks associated with the management of the grant supported training program including managing budgets, creating section assignments for courses, managing communications and enrollments. This position will aid in planning, marketing and conducting participant and employer phone calls, and remote sessions to inform potential enrollees about the career pathways through workforce programs. The coordinator will support the administration of funding students through various agencies. The Workforce Development Coordinator will collaborate with Clinical Clearance to ensure students are cleared for specified programs. In coordination with the Director and Associate Director of Workforce Development, the individual will assist in staff management and delegation of activities.
The Workforce Development Coordinator will work collaboratively with the college community, external college partners, employers, and other members of the community to successfully promote the programs and services within the Center for Workforce Development and CCM at large. The individual will use independent judgement while taking the initiative in the preparation and completion of assignments while staying ahead of future programming needs.
Specific Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coordinates and manages WFD operations in support of revenue targets including implementation and continuous improvement of office processes, internal and external communication, and budget management. In coordination with the Director, establishes and implements external communications plan. Reviews and adjusts targeted outreach based on enrollment targets. Understands and monitors college and grant funded budgets. Priorities and completes administrative responsibilities to ensure high quality customer service. Ensures and delivers timely administrative support of instructors and WFD staff.
- Directly responsible for targets related to receivable balances through grant supported training and externally funded students. Main point of contact for internal departments. related to student funding, specifically the offices of Accounting and Bursar. Maintains appropriate timeline for each funded student and collects and submits appropriate documentation in compliance with various funding agency/organization requirements.
- Ensures high level administration of the grant supported training program including the development of budgets, creation of course sections, communication with students, and other related activities. Coordinates with funding agency to submit timely requests for payment.
- Assists with implementation of special projects and events related to revenue targets, including meeting various grant requirements, conducting promotional activities, and development of employer partnerships.

Qualifications - Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Qualifications - Experience
5 years related work experience in a high-volume office setting. Bilingual preferred.
Qualifications - Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and related programs, excellent computer skills, good phone skills, customer service skills, attention to detail, self-motivated, good communications skills, ability to work under pressure, sensitivity in handling confidential information. Knowledge of state and federal grants.
