Job Summary The College of Nursing has contracted with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Medicaid Services (DMS) to provide DMS with a team of (10-12) licensed Registered Nurses and (1) Nurse Manager that will assist them by providing professional expertise, technical assistance and guidance in the performance of comprehensive assessments the using the Home and Community Based (HCB) waiver assessment tool for the frail and elderly population and physically disabled. This position will lead and guide a team of licensed nurses that will identify, develop and present information educating professional staff, families and individuals seeking HCB Services. This position will also be responsible to guide and lead this team in the review of data collected from the State’s HCB Assessment Tool and to enable the team members to make their own sound independent determinations as to the level of care and service needs of the frail and elderly population and physically disabled individuals across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. These assessments must substantiate and justify the services provided by the Home and Community Based Services (HCB) Waiver. This position is based in Louisville, Kentucky and requires working some evening hours to accommodate participants when they are home. Heavy in-state travel and occasional out-of-state travel is a requirement. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Knowledge of physical and psychological development. They will then take attendance of the students and communicate who is and is not present to the Online Specialist so they can prepare the tutors. Any combination of in-person and remote work.&nbsp; Job Summary A H.U.G. volunteer/employee who is responsible for transporting any needed session materials to and from session locations. Onsite Specialist must have reliable transportation to and from school. This individual will need to bring all H.U.G. technology (ipads, headphones, chargers and cords) to the location(s) or retrieve them from the school and set them up prior to the session. Keep a jar with mints filled at the school office and update with stickers and business cards. Update with school office/teacher of any changes in schedule and collect attendance. Online Specialist must complete background check. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities During the session this H.U.G. volunteer/employee will be responsible for ensuring students’ audio and video are working properly. They should also ensure that each student enters their breakout room. The monitor should be in constant communication with the session Online Specialist on the zoom call main room with Ipad. End of Session distribute mints and stickers at the end of the session for the students to keep. Ask students what the want to BE! Clean up Once the session has ended all technology should be collected, accounted for, and sanitized. All headphones should be placed back in cases (if applicable.) All items will be counted and placed back in the container for transportation (bag or tote.) If there is any material to hand out (books, mints, stickers, or goodie bags) those should be given to each student. As the students leave the session and ask them what they want to “BE for the week?” Ie. BE respectful, BE persistent, etc. (note: Mints stimulate alertness) All materials should be sanitized and charged in between each session. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience <ul><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to multitask and problem-solve in real-time.</li><li>This will include turning on all ipads/computers that will be used for the session and opening zoom.</li><li>Turn on all ipads, spread them out around the room, and place each child’s name and zoom line on an index card in front of their ipad.</li><li>The zoom code should then be typed into each device and students should each be assigned a device and their names entered to the zoom before joining the session so they can be identified by the Online Specialist.</li><li>Headphones should also be plugged into each device.
